For those who want to escape the typical Roman frenzy and enter a dream environment, where time seems to have stopped and life passes peacefully, just cross the threshold of the suggestive arch that constitutes the entrance to the Coppedè district.
The Coppedè District cannot be considered a real neighborhood, rather a happy little island in the rowdy jungle of Rome. It owes its name to the architect who designed it, Gino Coppedè; it was built between 1913 and 1927 (with the interruption of works during the First World War).
The entrance is located in the Trieste district. Once you pass the arch that connects the Ambassadors’ palaces, you enter a very special atmosphere, which will surely fascinate you. Among marbles, loggias, multicolored decorations, arches and windows, you will find yourself strolling among buildings that echo the liberty style as well as that of art deco, baroque and even medieval.
Truly a Rome that you don’t expect!
