GALLERIA DORIA PAMPHILJ
With the growing fortunes of the family, the palace has extended almost continuously and is still the largest in Rome (among private ones) and represents a suitable venue for the hosted collection. Most of the collection is housed in a series of boardrooms, which include the chapel, designed by Carlo Fontana, which also contains a vast collection of relics. However, the fundamental nucleus is exposed in a succession of four decorated and frescoed galleries that run around the courtyard. A large set of additional rooms has been transformed into exhibition galleries that contain a permanent exhibition on the theme “Landscape painting in the Doria Pamphilj villas”
