HISTORY

The Tenuta di Fiorano, located close to the Appia Antica and Ciampino airport, with its wines, Fiorano Rosso and Fiorano Bianco, and its history so rich in innovative ideas and some mystery, is owned by Prince Alessandro Jacopo Boncompagni Ludovisi.
The fame of the Tenuta di Fiorano is also linked to the figure of Prince Alberico Boncompagni Ludovisi, a character that time has enveloped in a well-deserved legend. Between the 40s and 50s of the last century Alberico became passionate about wine production and chose, pioneer in Italy, to plant cabernet sauvignon and merlot, Malvasia di Candia and an unknown, for the time, sémillon.

In reference to your kind request we inform you that the visit in the company, lasting about 2 hours, includes:
Visit to the cellar
Visit of the vineyards
Tasting of our 4 labels (Fiorano Bianco, Fiorano Rosso, Fioranello Bianco and Fioranello Rosso) accompanied by a tasting of farm products (oil and honey from the estate), cheese and local salami.
If you wish to increase the visit-tasting with a light lunch (thus adding to what has already been provided above also a first course and a dessert / tart)

Let me introduce our vineyard tour:
Our tour will take you to the area of the Cesanese grape, a fantastic wine region here in Lazio. In distance it’s close to Rome but you’ll be entering a completely different world! An honest, untouched, countryside region producing excellent wines predominantly from the local Cesanese grape.

The starting point from the tour is the client’s  accommodation around 8.30 in the morning , to drive towards the Roman hills and visit 2 small family owned vineyards who lift the authentic Cesanese wines to a higher level. We would conclude the tour with a typical Italian lunch in an excellent local restaurant with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills before returning to Rome around 4 in the afternoon.
